Tentickle Tents – Perfect for your dream Camping Wedding

So you both love the outdoors and nature is your playground, which means that the wedding of your dreams needs to not only incorporate a wedding tent, but in fact be themed around your passion for all things camping. Well we at Tentickle already have the wedding tent covered, and thanks to our tent crazy blogging staff we also have a number of tips on how to throw the perfect camping wedding. Here’s how:

It’s all about a good venue

Although you might be crazy about camping, it does not mean that all of your guests are. This is why we suggest that you find a camping venue that offers a variety of accommodation, including the normal tents sites you love, caravan sites and RV hookups. Possibly look into a place that also has chalets or a nearby hotel for older or more reserved guests. Alternatively you can book an upmarket “glamping” venue, or even hire some of our versatile stretch tents and host your own “glamping” wedding at your favourite camping spot.

Talking about favourite venues, before booking a final one please ensure that it is capable of hosting a large amount of people at one time. Also remember that when it comes to restrooms, not everyone wants to go “au natural”, so ensure that there enough toilets. Don’t forget to also include nice smelling soap and real hand towels in the bathrooms.

Protect yourself from the elements

Nature can be extremely pretty, but it can also be hot, windy and even wet depending on the weather. Luckily this is where we can help as our wedding and events tents can be scaled up or down to accommodate any size outdoor event, can be pitched on almost any terrain type, and are UV protected, waterproof and have removable side panels to let in cool summer breezes, or protect from strong gusts of wind. Additionally, because our stretch tents are made from specially formulated fire retardant materials, heaters can be used inside of them if temperatures drop below a comfortable level.

Light up the night

If your wedding festivities are going to run into the night, then ensure that there is enough lighting, lanterns and flashlights (if needed) to help people find their way around the campsite. It is also a good idea to inform the wedding photographer about where the wedding will be taking place so that he knows what his lighting requirements will be.

Let nature do the talking

Mother nature is beautiful, so save costs and take advantage of the fact that she can provide you with a heavenly backdrop. Do this by keeping store bought decorations to a minimum and even create a photo booth area with natural props such as wreaths, palm leaves and the odd piece of camping equipment such as binoculars, fishing nets, bandanas or those funny puffy camping vests.

Don’t take things too seriously on your big day

This might sound like strange advice but the truth is nature, and marriage for that matter, can be very unpredictable. If things such as the weather don’t go according to plan then simply go with it and still have the time of your life. Because remember, a wedding is something you’ll remember forever, but there is a good chance that a camping wedding is something you’ll guests will only get to experience once in a lifetime.
