Stendhal is the ultimate colourful arts fest – a hippie haven if you will. The 2014 Stendhal festival took place on 8 and 9 August. Featuring everything from modern art and design, to aspiring and established musicians and theatre performances, it was a delight to the senses. Upon arriving at Stendhal, festival goers were welcomed by bright yellow sunflowers, and the colourful decor followed their every foot step with bright wall designs, flags and stretch tents adorned with psychedelic decorations. The event is always very family orientated but still retains a great balance of music and arts that attracts young and old alike.
Stendhal Arts Festival has only been on the Festival circuit for three years and already it has become one of the ‘must go to’ Festivals in Northern Ireland. Tentickle are proud to say that their stretch tents have been used at Stendhal for the second year running through one of their distributors in Ireland, Maverick Marquees. As you can see from the videos and images, the stretch tents really complemented the artistic atmosphere of the event and provided separate areas for craft markets, art exhibitions and musical and theatre performances.
Stendhal goes from strength to strength due to the hard working organisers and friendly volunteers. Tentickle is excited to watch it grow and hopes to keep being involved in years to come.
